All-Natural Hydrocarbon Refrigerant R290
Environmentally friendly refrigerant is the lifeblood of a True Ice Machine. Instead of using ozone depleting HFC’s, True Ice Machines utilize R290, a propane-based hydrocarbon refrigerant with a significantly lower GWP (Global Warming Potential). R290 has greater thermo-dynamic properties than its HFC counterparts for better heat transfer and reduced energy consumption.
